Assembling the Plain Variable Star

It's a little over do and quite a simple task...making sure your seams all line up is probably the only thing you need to pay close attention to. I only had to rip apart 2 of my 7 blocks, so not too bad.

Spring has Sprung

Brody Sunbathing
It was such a beautiful First Day of Spring today!! Nearly 80 degrees here today! I enjoyed the some sun, fun, and sewing. I don't know where the week or weekend went. I had a busy week of baking, subbing, spring cleaning, and on top of that everyone in this house has been a bit under the weather.

I'm not really sure if I have accomplished anything while sewing today...I have a large stack that needs trimmed, a medium sized stack that needs ripped apart and re-sewn, and a small stack that is completed. It was a two steps forward, one step back kind of day.

I have made progress on the next quilting tutorial I am working on and will hopefully have it complete by tomorrow evening. So look for the Plain Variable Star Tutorial  later this week.

I am happy to share that I am participating in a Scrap Swap over at Sew Tara. I was paired with Barb from Connecticut. She is originally a Midwest girl like myself and her hometown is just 3 hours from my home. It's a small world and I am excited to send my swap.

I've gotten some great photos in the past few weeks and I really need to spend more time converting from RAW. It's so time consuming, but I will leave you with this sweet shot.
